Kait joined the Foundation in March 2018 as its development officer to coordinate Foundation events and assist with all aspects of donor engagement. Since that time, she has held several roles within the organization and distinguished herself as an invaluable member of the Foundation team.

As director of donor & community engagement, Kait focuses on building discretionary community endowments and works closely with individuals, families, and professional advisors to ensure DuPage residents are giving effectively and efficiently. Kait also advises area not-for-profits in creating endowment and reserve funds to support their long-term financial stability.

Kait oversees the Foundation’s marketing and communications and stewardship efforts, as well as the Foundation’s Annual Benefit, Glen Ellyn Fund Initiative, and Next Generation Initiative.

Kait holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and earned a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation from the American College of Financial Services. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Chicago Chapter, Chicago Council on Planned Giving, and the West Suburban Philanthropic Network (WSPN). In 2020, WSPN recognized Kait with its Nonprofit Professional Rising Star of the Year Award.

Kait previously worked for Chicago-based Interfaith America and started her career in philanthropy at Bridge Communities, Inc.

Kait is a lifelong DuPage County resident. She grew up in Glen Ellyn and now resides in Winfield with her spouse, Jeff.
