Vice President for Advancement

DuPage Foundation is searching for an experienced professional with a head for strategy and logistics and a passion for community engagement and stewardship to join its senior management team as its next Vice President for Advancement.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 7 – 10 years’ experience in not-for-profit management, fund development and charitable gift planning, trust or financial services, or a related field.
The individual must also demonstrate a proven track record of leadership, consensus-building, making persuasive presentations, project management, and working effectively in teams and with volunteer leaders.
Additionally, the individual must possess a high degree of initiative, curiosity, and empathy, along with a genuine desire to help others and raise the quality of life throughout DuPage County.
The Vice President for Advancement will oversee a team of two, report directly to the President & CEO, and work with three other senior staff members on a management team that has a combined 40+ years of experience running the organization.

Advancement Intern

DuPage Foundation is seeking a part-time intern interested in gaining valuable not-for-profit event planning and fundraising experience. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have event planning experience.
The Advancement Intern will report to the Assistant Director of Donor Services. This person will gain practical experience in the not-for-profit sector and support the Foundation's event planning and fundraising activities by securing in-kind donations, conducting research, preparing fundraising communications, recording and maintaining donation records, and more.
This position is part-time (20-25 hours/week); College credit and/or stipend or hourly pay is negotiable. This position lasts from summer to fall 2023 with flexible start and end dates and the 2023 Holiday season potentially available.
