Kaitlyn M. Balsewicz Promoted to Assistant Director of Donor Services

DuPage Foundation is pleased to announce the promotion of Kaitlyn M. Balsewicz, CFRE, to assistant director of donor services, effective immediately.

Balsewicz joined the Foundation in March 2018, as its development officer to coordinate Foundation events and assist with all aspects of donor engagement. Since that time, she has successfully taken on increased responsibilities and distinguished herself as an invaluable member of the Foundation team.

In her new role, Balsewicz will focus on helping donors and organizations plan and achieve their charitable goals while managing the Foundation’s core cultivation and stewardship functions, running point on the Foundation’s annual Benefit, and serving as the staff liaison for its Next Generation Initiative.

“This promotion is well deserved,” said Mike Sitrick, DuPage Foundation executive vice president for advancement. “Kait has a heart for people and service. She approaches stewardship as a vocation and is always looking for opportunities to help our constituents and add value to the Foundation. Kait is exceptionally dedicated and someone whom I am proud to know and call a colleague.”

Balsewicz holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College, where she continues to serve as a member of its alumni board. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and holds a certificate in proposal writing and grants management from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Balsewicz is also a member of the Chicago Council on Planned Giving and the West Suburban Philanthropic Network, the latter of which honored her in 2020 as the recipient of its Nonprofit Professional Rising Star of the Year Award. She previously worked at the Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core as its foundation relations manager and served as a development intern for Bridge Communities, Inc.

Balsewicz is a lifelong DuPage County resident. She grew up in Glen Ellyn and graduated from Glenbard West High School. She now resides in Winfield with her spouse, Jeff.
