DuPage Foundation Welcomes New Committee Members

DuPage Foundation is pleased to welcome two new committee members, approved at the November 18 Board of Trustees meeting.

More on the new committee members:

Sandy L. Higgins – Professional Advisor Committee
Naperville resident Sandy L. Higgins is a senior wealth advisor and partner at Capstone Financial Advisors, Inc. and has over 24 years of experience working in the financial services industry. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP)®, she provides strategic planning and consulting services to high net-worth families to help them reach their financial goals. Higgins is a member of the DuPage Estate Planning Council and Financial Planning Association. She serves on the board of directors for CASA of DuPage County, is a member of the Naperville Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee and volunteers for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Higgins received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Illinois University and her Juris Doctor from University of Illinois College of Law. She earned the CFP® certification from the American College of Financial Services in 2016.

Mitha Rao – Next Generation Initiative Steering Committee
Mitha Rao is the founder and managing attorney of Rao Legal, LLC, an estate planning and business counseling boutique firm with offices in Oak Brook and Chicago. Her clients include individuals, families, attorneys, physicians, financial executives and entrepreneurs, and she frequently speaks to communities across the Chicagoland area on estate planning topics. Rao serves on the Planned Giving Committee for the Chicago Bar Foundation and is a member of the DuPage County and Chicago Bar associations. She graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and earned her law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. Rao and her husband reside in Clarendon Hills.
