Mission
The mission of the JCS Arts, Health & Education Fund of DuPage Foundation (JCS Fund) is to support instrumental music, cultural, health, educational, artistic and other charitable organizations serving the needs of residents of DuPage County, Illinois. The JCS Fund is particularly interested in programs that provide long-term benefits. The JCS Fund has discretion to support charitable organizations serving other communities if it determines that the goals of those organizations are consistent with its charitable interests.
Visual Arts and Music Mini-Grant
The goals of the JCS Fund Visual Arts and Music Mini-Grant program are to provide arts programs that benefit people in DuPage County and to create excitement and engagement with the arts in the local community.
The 2025 application deadlines are March 14, April 30, June 30, August 31, and October 31. Grant applications will be reviewed until the grant funds are exhausted.
Requests to support an event must be received by the deadline at least two months prior to the event date:
- March 14 – events scheduled after May 15
- April 30 – events scheduled after July 1
- June 30 – events scheduled after September 1
- August 31 – events scheduled after November 1
- October 31 – events scheduled after January 1
JCS Fund DuPage County Public Art Grant
Arts DuPage and the JCS Fund are excited to invite local communities and not-for-profit organizations to apply for a grant to support public art! The JCS Fund is offering four matching grants of up to $25,000 for public art projects in DuPage County. Public art projects may include permanent or limited-time projects in any art medium. Examples include murals, sculptures, and temporary summer art installations. The JCS Fund encourages imaginative ideas.
Eligibility
- Public charities classified as exempt from federal income taxes under 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code
- DuPage County governmental agencies (municipalities, park districts, school districts, townships, libraries)

Young People’s Music Initiative (YPMI)
One of the key programs supported by the JCS Fund is the Young People’s Music Initiative (YPMI). Through this initiative, support is provided to schools throughout DuPage County to help foster love and appreciation for music in young students.
Starting in 2024, this grant opportunity is open to all public schools and districts that primarily serve DuPage County. Grants at the elementary school level will be made to support general music and instrumental programs. Grants at the middle or high school level will only be made to support instrumental music programs.

Current YPMI Grantees
School districts invited to apply for YPMI grants in the last seven years remain eligible to finish out the grant program. Returning grantees will receive an Access Code to apply for a grant.
