As director of marketing & communications, Robin is responsible for continuing to build the Foundation's brand as DuPage County's philanthropic leader, communicating the impact of its programs and initiatives, and highlighting community needs and opportunities to address them while seeking to increase awareness and engagement through multiple marketing channels.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Robin served as marketing director for Hinsdale Humane Society for ten years, shaping its brand, and writing internal and external communications, while growing its audience of followers. Prior to that, she ran her own copywriting and public relations firm for 13 years, writing for a variety of businesses, agencies and trade magazines, providing clients with corporate communications, collateral, websites, advertising and editorial.

She also spent a number of years at Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. in Chicago, IL, as director of public relations and was responsible for communications initiatives related to the building and its trade shows.

Robin grew up in Wauwatosa, WI, and has lived in Illinois since 1993. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in art history.

She has also served as a board member of the Western Springs Foundation for Educational Excellence (WSFEE), as public relations chair for the Western Springs Historical Society and as a contributor to the Western Springs Journal. She resides in Western Springs with her husband, son and daughter, and a number of rescued pets.
