Two area students each recently received $3,750 in scholarship awards from the Paul D. Pierotti Memorial Scholarship Fund of the DuPage Foundation. The students, Leah Theodor and Nina Hulet, were recognized at The Conservation Foundation’s Spring Membership and Awards Luncheon on June 15 at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton.
The DuPage Foundation is pleased to announce the awarding of more than $800,000 in grants to 37 DuPage County not-for-profit organizations working in the area of Health and Human Services and to six local collaboratives focused on improving kindergarten-readiness in DuPage County. The grants were distributed at the Foundation’s Spring Grant Awards Breakfast on Wednesday, June 14, at Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn.
In a move that bonds two area grant-makers working to ensure that DuPage children are ready for kindergarten, the Gustafson Family Foundation (GFF) of Woodridge voted on Monday, June 5, to transfer its nearly $17 million private foundation to the DuPage Foundation (DF) to establish a donor-advised fund through which GFF will continue its grantmaking going forward.
